James

I’ve been taking groups to the Highlands for most of my life. I love seeing people discover its magic and feel absolutely alive.

Highland Horizons is about sharing this love - opening up another world for people to channel new energy, freedom and purpose.

I have climbed around 200 Scottish Munros, plus major summits in the Alps, Pyrenees and Africa. I feel equally at home on a windswept mountain, kayaking across a glassy loch, or grilling up an epic BBQ or mixing an Old Fashioned at my bar, for that matter.

My mission is simply to ensure you have a totally memorable time in the Highlands. I’ve had plenty of practice, so there’s a fair chance you will!

Paragliding, rock climbing, water skiing, kitesurfing, splitboarding, you name it, I’ve done it. I mean, why not? You only live once, lets make the most of it.

I’m a pretty sick landscape photographer and an ace with drone videography, not to mention a being web design and digital marketing guru. Oh, and kind of an AI expert too.

And yes, I also happen to be the design visionary behind Coillemore House. Still, I’m not perfect: I do occasionally drive a bit too fast. :)

Over the years I’ve had the good fortune to be able to share all this with a lot of different guests - and with many more to come…

Tanya

A true citizen of the world, I have lived in 7 different countries. I like being warm and am a big fan of saunas.

Originally from the Caribbean, I first came to Scotland about 15 years ago. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting that much, but it turned out pretty awesome and I’ve been coming back ever since.

Among my other talents, as a wine connoisseur I enjoy selecting the wine pairings for our signature fine-dining menus.

It’s fair to say I am the brains that keeps the whole show on the road. Without me, most likely the wheels would just fall off. You’re welcome!

People call me a creative genius - and who’s to say they’re wrong?! I love to write, draw, paint, compose and do lots of handstands and cartwheels, naturally.

My name means Mountains in Spanish - and when I lived in Spain I did plenty of mountaineering and rock climbing. Being raised in an outdoorsy family has given me total love and respect for all living things.

I love discovering new places as well as savouring my old favourites. Some of my favourite Highland activities are: run down sand dunes, catch jellyfish, skim stones, explore rock pools, write comics, make short videos, spot seals and otters, and bake cakes.
